Responsible for the finance and accounting functions of the city including treasury management, financial reporting, budget preparation, cash management, debt management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and utility billing
Advises the City Administrator and City Council regarding the financial plan, budget targets and financial policies
Establishes level of financing for the capital budget
Coordinates the annual audit performed by an independent certified public accountant (CPA)
Develops and implements a city wide operating budget; establishes and schedules a budget calendar
Performs the duties of City Treasurer as defined by the laws of the State of Kansas
